High Caliber Sensory Friendly Hours
BECOMING MORE ACCESSIBLE IN LANSING, MI
Lansing, MI – July 22, 2024 – High Caliber Karting & Entertainment is excited to announce the launch of Sensory Friendly Hours, starting Sunday, August 4, 2024. The facility will open early at 11 AM, with Sensory Friendly Hours running until 2 PM, on the first Sunday of every month.
During these special hours, we have tailored our environment to be more inclusive and welcoming for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Key features include:
- Facility lights will be on
- Strobe lighting will not be strobing
- Music will be off
- Sensory Friendly Kits available to borrow
- Fully trained, friendly staff with patience
- A Sensory Friendly Breakroom available for cool down periods (just ask staff!)
Any member of the public is welcome to join us during this time, but please note that our sensory offerings will differ from our usual ambiance.
Jacki Krumnow, High Caliber’s Marketing Director, shared her excitement about this initiative, stating, “At High Caliber, we are committed to elevating our facility to be more accessible for the Lansing community. After debuting our Handicapable go-kart in 2022, allowing wheelchair users to race with hand operations, this is a natural next step. We are thrilled to offer Sensory Friendly Hours and ensure everyone can enjoy the thrill of karting in a comfortable environment.”
High Caliber Karting and Entertainment also offers sensory-friendly parties, events, and school trips. High Caliber has proudly hosted such events in the past and look forward to welcoming more groups in the future.
