Some party people wanted to have ever-bigger parties and eventually they decided they just had to locate a huge space (they take up two very large former clothing-store spaces at one end of the Meridian Mall,) in order to fully realize their partying dreams. It's really a sort of fascinating business just from the perspective of entrepreneurship and innovation. I frequently hear friends and coworkers opting for "let's go to High Calibre" over other entertainment choices.
